The shoreline at Shitiping, which is situated at the 65-kilometer point on the coastal highway, was formed when volcanic rock worn smooth by sea erosion was uplifted in layers that resemble stone steps-which is just what the Shiti of the name means. The geological structure here is made up of whitish-gray volcanic tuff that is strikingly different from the rock seen in other parts of the East Coast. A wide variety of coastal vegetation and sea lives make this an excellent place to observe the coastal geology and marine ecology. The Visitor Center at Shitiping contains illustrations and explanations of the local topography, sea life, and vegetation that help make your visit more educational as well as interesting. There is also a campground where visitors may spend the night.

石梯坪 -- 東台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

石梯坪位於石梯漁港的東南側，於1983年經內政部劃定為花東沿海保護區內的自然保護區。東部海岸國家風景區設立之後，將此地劃設為石梯坪遊憩區。因本區海岸階地平坦寬廣，故將區內主要通道臨海側規劃成露營區，並鋪設臨海步道通往各主要景點。石梯坪特殊的地質地形景點多分佈在沿海保護區、遊憩區內，以多層階梯狀的隆起岩海階而得名，上面佈滿壺穴、珊瑚礁。沿著石板步道，可深入觀察海蝕溝、海蝕崖、海蝕平台、隆起珊瑚礁地形地質景觀，此地也是是潛水者及海釣著十分熱門的去處。 

石梯坪遊憩區以特殊的地質聞名，整個地質剖面約100公尺，底部有約30公尺厚的安山岩熔岩，具有柱狀節理。上方被白色的凝灰岩和火山礫岩所覆蓋，而剖面的頂部為岩性疏鬆的白色中酸凝灰岩，可見得為陸上火山噴發的產物。

Sanyi Museum of Wood Sculpture -- Attractions of Central Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

The history of the woodcarving industry in Sanyi dates back to 1918, when a township local named Wu Chin-pao began making adornments at his home workshop from pieces of dead wood. His creations delighted a local Japanese resident and together with Wu, the two figured out a way to mass produce these pieces of wood art. In the early years, religious statues and handicrafts dominated the wood carving output in Sanyi. Recently, however, the industry has shifted to more personalized works of art with a steady stream of creative innovations on various themes. Visitors can view many of these amazing creations at the Sanyi Wood Sculpture Museum along with wood sculptures from around the world.

三義木雕博物館 -- 中台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

三義木雕發展的起源，是鄉民吳進寶先生於1918年撿拾枯木回家加工做擺飾，被日本人視為藝術品而喜歡，吳進寶進而與日本人研究如何大量加工生產這些枯木藝術品。

早期，三義的木雕多以神像、工藝品為主，近年來，由於個人風格的藝術創作風氣大開，各式各樣題材的雕刻作品不斷的推陳出新，令人嘆為觀止！

「三義木雕博物館」臺灣唯一以木雕為專題的公立博物館，該館以收藏展示木雕藝術精品為主，包括各國土著的民族木雕與臺灣木雕藝術等。

Fushan Botanical Garden -- Attractions of North Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

This 410-hectare branch of the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute is the largest botanical park in Taiwan. It is located on the boundary between Yilan County's Yuanshan Township and New Taipei City's Wulai District. The area includes 20 kilometers of self-guided trails, with interpretive plaques for visitors to use. The park was established to preserve the characteristic forest ecology of northern Taiwan; most of its plant cover consists of natural temperate-zone broadleaf forests, and there is a complex mix of local vegetation as well as numerous species of wildlife in the area. Prior application is required to visit the park, and the number of visitors is currently limited to approximately 300 per day. The purpose of this is to protect the natural ecology and allow the environment to continue relatively undisturbed.

Sandiaojiao, the easternmost point of Taiwan, is formed of the northern tip of the Xueshan Mountain Range. The most prominent landmark here is the Sandiao Lighthouse, which was built in 1935 as an important navigational aid for ships sailing past northern Taiwan. A popular spot for tourists, the lighthouse is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily except for Mondays and days following national holidays.

三貂角 -- 北台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

據傳明朝天啟六年（西元1626年）西班牙船艦由菲律賓開抵臺灣東北角海域，因不詳地名為便於記載航海日誌，便以拉丁文命此地為San Diego（聖地牙哥）這是西班牙人的習慣以「聖」為開頭，為外國人最早對臺灣東北角的記錄，早期本地先民便以此譯為閩南語音「三貂」，「三貂」地型是臺灣最東北部的岬角，因而自然得名為「三貂角」。

海水爬嶺的美麗景象，極目海天連成一線：右向太平洋海波寧靜，極左邊是東海區域，唯臨三貂角直極東望，海波處處浪花延綿數千公頃不斷，原來此地三貂角岩層深入海域遠接那壩向東南是一個大斷層使然。此外這裡可說是觀賞龜山島的最佳位置，遠眺龜山島彷彿看見一隻烏龜正靜靜地浮在海面上。

Liji Badlands and Little Huang Mountain (Huangshan) -- Attractions of East Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

Liji Badlands
Liji Badlands was formed by the uplifting of soft marine sediments above the surface of the sea and their subsequent erosion into an infinite number of small gullies where no blade of grass can grow. The resulting topography resembles the badlands of Lunar World in Gang Mountain (Gangshan), Kaohsiung City. This unusual geological area, which is about two kilometers long and one kilometer wide, can be viewed from either Beinan Bridge or Liji Bridge.
Little Huang Mountain (Huangshan)
The section of the Beinan River stretching from Yan Bay to Shanli is known as Xiaohuang Mountain (Xiaohuangshan) (Little Huang Mountain (Huangshan) ), and is also called "the Red Cliffs of Taitung." Both names are in reference to famous scenic sites in mainland China. The cliffs along the river shine golden in the sunlight and are reflected in the water, creating a scenic panorama that stretches four kilometers. This is a very impressive natural tableau that is reminiscent of a classic Chinese landscape painting.

利吉惡地 -- 東台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

地屬富源山，土壤為利吉層，由於長期雨水沖刷，草木不生，形成雨蝕溝滿布的獨特景象，為臺灣少見的美景。原是堆積在海底的泥層，因地殼板塊運動而被推擠出地表。 

這種地形質地軟弱，易被雨水沖刷，流蝕出無數小土溝，寸草不生，形成與高雄岡山區月世界相同的地質風景區，是地質學者重視的東臺灣惡地層。 

從卑南大橋或利吉橋上，即可眺覽此寬2公里、深約1公里的地質奇景。

The Historic Archives Building of Chiayi City -- Attractions of South Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

Two buildings for historic archives of Chiayi City were religious fast house and social affair house affiliated to Chiayi Shrine in the Japanese colony. The Historic Archives Building of Chiayi City has been listed as historic site. Fast house was a place of fast and preparation before sacrifices and social affairs house is an office for shrine administration management.
The two buildings were kind of Japanese academy style, which used building elements such as ceiling, paper doors with horizontal pull, and veranda. The Japanese roof is somewhat like traditional Chinese one. Eaves, ridges, and spines are Japanese style. The top of exterior walls is the system of wood brackets on the top of a column supporting the crossbeam, and the lower part is real wall style. The platform is installed with low fences, and the doors are pulled horizontally; windows are pulled horizontally with fixed grille, fixed grille and horizontal pull windows, and paper horizontal pull windows. Religious East house and social affair house, and sacrifice wares storehouse are representative of residential culture left behind by Japanese. The exterior walls of sacrifice wares storehouse were molded with concrete cement to be shaped like wooden material, which is quite special.
The religious fast house was built in an area of 267 square meters and social affair house was built in an area of 208 square meters. Between two buildings were connected with a traverse. The central traverse is a connecting axle, forming a sizable integrate space. Take a comprehensive view of the structure and form of Japanese academy structure, building elements and service functions, the two buildings are very rare and distinctive, elegant in artistic performance and high value in handicraft.
The City Government assigned the professional reconstruction agencies to work the project based on the principle of do not change the main structure"," reserve the original appearance, shape and style"," restore according to the original building element " and" consider the matches of the park environment"...etc. The restoration and repair of the building has been completed one after another.
In October, 1998, the two buildings was checked and ratified by the Chiayi Government as destined historic site for the city, and entitle Chiayi City historic archives building On September 15, 2001, the Chiayi City Historic Archives Building opened for public, displaying people and things of Chiayi, Interlacing respective elegance of the past time and modern time to stir up people's feeling of loving hometown and home. The historic archives building are the best place to understand the history of Chiayi. To Know Chiayi, one may start visiting historic archives building.

嘉義市史蹟資料館 -- 南台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

嘉義市史蹟資料館兩棟建物乃日據時期嘉義神社附屬的齋館及社務所，嘉義市史蹟資料館列為市定古蹟，其創建於昭和18年(西元1943年)，齋館係前往神社祭祀前齋戒和準備的地方，而社務所為神社行政管理辦公處。

該兩棟建築物屬日本「書院造」的建築形式，使用天花板、紙橫拉門、外廊道等建築要素。而屋頂屬「入母屋式」形式，類似中國傳統的歇山頂，其屋簷、屋脊、破風、垂脊、正脊均使用日式之建築元素。屋身外壁之上端有船形肘木(斗拱)，下半部採「真壁」形式。台基為低矮干闌式作法，而門窗方面，門多採橫拉門，只有少數屬推拉門；窗則有玻璃橫拉窗固定格柵窗、固定格柵加橫拉玻璃窗，以及紙橫拉窗等四種。齋館、社務所、手水舍，祭器庫等，是日本留下的居住文化代表，且祭器庫有混凝土模倣木作建築的外牆，較為特殊。

齋館建積267平方公尺，社務所建積208平方公尺，兩棟建築物之間有通廊相連，若以中央通廊為連繫軸，則形成頗具規模的整體空間。綜觀該日式「書院造」構造之格局，建築元素與服務機能等形式，在臺閩地區十分稀有，具獨特性，藝術表現優雅，工藝參考價值高。

後經市政府委託專業單位本著「不改變主體架構」、「保留原有外觀造型式樣」、「依原有建築元素復原」、「考量與公園環境配合」等原則，陸續完成建築物的修復建。

民國87年10月，該兩棟建物經嘉義市政府核定為市定古蹟，並定名為「嘉義市史蹟資料館」。90年9月15日史蹟資料館開館啟用，館內展示有關嘉義的人與嘉義市的事，以過去與現在的時光交錯，呈現各自的風華，藉以激發民眾愛鄉愛家的情懷。史蹟資料館是了解嘉義歷史的最佳處所。認識嘉義，就從參觀史蹟資料館開始。

Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area -- Attractions of South Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

Dapeng Bay covers the two designated scenic areas of Dapeng Bay and Liuqiu. The northern boundary of Dapeng Bay is the Provincial Highway 17 and the Ping 63 County Road. The eastern and western boundaries are Linbian and Xinggou in Donggang Township respectively. To the south, there is a 600-meter sea area starting from the high tide mark of the coastal line. The main features of Dapeng Bay include the Qingzhou Rest Area. In this region, there is a famous boat festival of the Donglong Temple in Donggang. Tourists can also enjoy the beautiful submarine scenery on Liuqiu Island.
Dapeng Bay is the largest inner bay in Taiwan, providing rich resources of sea animals and plants in this region. Redwoods and sea eggplants are growing by the sea; Ipomoea pes-caprae, Excoecaria agallocha, and Clerodendron inerme are all very famous. The animals in the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area are mainly birds, fish and mollusks. There are about 95 kinds of birds, including migratory birds. Fish include groupers, and other sea animals include a special kind of tide-waving crabs on the wetlands.
Liuqiu is the only coral island found among the 14 islands around Taiwan. It is famous for three features: the best location for watching sunsets, the largest variety of corals, and the entire island as a coral reef. The whole island is full of strange rocks and reveals many beautiful ocean landscapes.
There are around 100 temples in Liuqiu and Dapeng Bay. Many temples are located around Donggang Town, and the Linbian and Nanzhou Townships. Among all the temples, the Donglong Temple in Donglong Village, Donggang Township has the longest history. Once every three years, people there will hold a ceremony to "burn the boat" and this is considered the biggest celebration of this kind. Seafood is famous around Taiwan and is inexpensive. Donggang has three treasures: blue fin tuna, cherry shrimp and fat roe. Liuqiu is also famous for its barbecued squid and sausage.

大鵬灣國家風景區 -- 南台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

大鵬灣國家風景區包含大鵬灣及琉球兩大風景特定區。大鵬灣北界為台17號及屏63號縣道，東以林邊鄉界接現有排水溝堤轉屏12之1及128縣道為界，西以東港現有都市計畫住宅區線連接東港鎮新溝為界，南為海岸高潮線起600公尺海域為界。琉球風景區範圍為琉球本島及海岸高潮線向外延伸600公尺為界。

大鵬灣是臺灣最大的內灣，區內海域之動植物資源豐富，本區特有的紅樹林－海茄苳及濱海植物如馬鞍藤、土沈香、苦林盤等；動物景觀以鳥類、魚類及軟甲類為主，出現的鳥種計有九十五種，包括候鳥、過境鳥等，魚類有石斑等，另外活動於溼地的招潮蟹尤具特色。

琉球是臺灣附近14個屬島中唯一的珊瑚島，有三大特色：最佳觀日點、最多珊瑚品種及全島為珊瑚礁。全島奇岩怪石林立，海洋景觀瑰麗。琉球及大鵬灣大小廟宇近百間，許多廟宇分佈於鄰近之東港鎮、林邊鄉及南州鄉內，其中以東港鎮東隆里之東隆宮為年代最悠久的廟宇，其每三年一次的迎王祭典燒王船，是國內最大型王爺信仰活動。這裡的海鮮全臺聞名，且物美價廉。東港三寶-黑鮪魚、櫻花蝦、油魚子是美食珍寶。琉球特產除海鮮外，烤魷魚及香腸頗負盛名。

Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area -- Attractions of North Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

Taipingshan is situated in the northern county of Yilan and is one of Taiwan's three major national forest recreation areas. With a moist climate and abundant rainfall, it has nurtured an environment rich in ecological resources. The forests that cover the area consist of such valuable trees as Taiwan cypress, Taiwan hemlock, and Japanese cypress. The area is also blessed with geothermal energy at the Renze Hot Springs, the largest alpine lake on the island (Cuifeng Lake), and a variety of other enchanting scenery. One of the prime tourist spots here is the Taipingshan primeval forest park, which you reach via flights of stone steps lined with purple-leafed maple trees that become especially rich in color between the months of March and November. This used to be a major logging area, and traces of the old logging equipment can still be seen here-the old forestry railroad, ruins of a cable car up the mountain, motorized carts, trestles. Visitors here can also savor the constantly changing sight of the "sea of clouds," the brilliant sunrise, forest waterfalls, and other alluring scenes. No wonder that this is a favorite vacation spot for the people of Taiwan! Entry to the Taipingshan National Forest Recreation Area requires a B-class mountain permit, and an A-class permit is needed to proceed on to Cuifeng Lake. You can get your permit to the national forest recreation area by presenting your ID card or passport at the Taipingshan inspection post.
Taipingshan Forest Park is located in Datong, Yilan County, 12,000 hectares in area. The park covers the Nanhu Mountain, Sanxing Mountain and Dabajian Mountain. There are abundant cypress and pine trees and it used to be one of the three major forestry centers in Taiwan. Scenery here differs with the seasons. Visitors can come here to appreciate the flowers in spring, the sunrise and clouds in autumn. Vegetation here differs with the altitude.
Scenic spots here include Renze Hot Spring, Forest Park, Forest Tour Track, Wildlife Conservation area and Cuifeng Lake. The plants that change colors, such as maples, have brought Taipingshan beautiful views. Cherry blossoms, plum blossoms and apricot blossoms make the park exquisite scenery.

太平山國家森林遊樂區 -- 北台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

位於大同鄉的太平山國家森林遊樂區，面積達一萬兩千餘頃，全區有南湖大山山系、三星山山系、大霸尖山支脈，以盛產紅檜、扁柏聞名，曾與阿里山、八仙山並列為臺灣三大林場之一。其四季風貌皆有所不同，春暖花開時五彩繽紛；秋高氣爽時，日出雲海等風情最讓人難以忘懷。本區海拔高差甚大，兼有亞熱帶至寒帶氣侯，各林帶樹種繁雜，材質優美。

區內的景觀包括鳩之澤溫泉(原仁澤溫泉)、森林樂園、森林浴步道、野生動物保護區、翠峰湖等。另外由於高低差的關係，具有四季紅葉植物變化的景致，每到秋季，火紅的楓樹為太平山帶來艷麗的色彩。此外山櫻花、梅、杏、太平山白櫻花等亦隨四季展現不同的風采，十分迷人。

Xiangtian Lake Short Spirit Ceremony -- Attractions of Central Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

Xiangtian Lake, located at Donghe Village in Nanzhuang, is home to one of the smaller indigenous tribes in Taiwan, the Saisiat. Every second year, the Saisiat people stage a festival called the Sacrifice to the Short Spirit. This festival goes back to legendary times when the Saisiat are said to have shared their land with a tribe of short people.
In the beginning, the two tribes lived in harmony and helped each other to prosper. Unfortunately, this harmony was destroyed by a single incident involving a man of the short spirit and Saisiat women. The details of what actually happened are unclear, but whatever it was, it was enough to enrage the Saisiat people and to lead to the massacre of the short spirit. Subsequently, the Saisiat experienced many tragedies, which they attributed to the vengeance of the short spirit. In order to appease the angry spirits and make amends for the injustice of their ancestors, the Saisiat hold the Sacrifice to the Short Spirit on the 15th day of the 10th lunar month every other year. Every 10 years an especially spectacular festival is held; the last of these big festivals was in 2006. The Saisiat wear traditional costumes, and the ceremonies take four days and three nights to complete. Visitors are excluded from the more sacred rituals but are allowed to participate in the dancing and singing. Xiangtian Lake can be reached by No.124 County Road. Nearby is Triangle Lake, which has recreational farms where you can pick fruits, camp, or barbecue.

向天湖矮靈祭 -- 中台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

 

向天湖位在南庄鄉東河村，屬賽夏族部落，當地每2年一小祭、10年一大祭的矮靈祭(巴斯達隘)，極富深遠的歷史意義及原始神秘的氣息，是該族人心目中最重要的祭典。最近一次的矮靈祭在民國93（2004）年，大祭在民國95（2006）年。
矮靈祭於每隔一年的農曆10月15日前後舉行，共4天3夜，其中「娛靈」為本祭，須排在粟秋收後正值旱稻收穫時之月望。主要儀式分為告靈、迎靈、會靈、娛靈、送靈等部分，其中以迎靈儀式最為神聖及神祕，不容許他族參加，一般外地遊客僅能參加會靈與娛靈。會靈當夜各地族人穿著傳統服飾，在舞帽巡行引導下，和著臀鈴及祭歌起舞；隔日的娛靈之夜，歌舞達到最高潮，祭場上月光旗與星姑旗在舞圈內外不停晃動，瀰漫著明滅不定的神祕氣氛，場面浩大，令人難忘。沿途（124縣道）可至三角湖，此湖狀似三角，湖水深邃翠綠。內設有休閒農場，除可採果外，亦可露營、烤肉，是渡假的理想去處。

Southwest Coast National Scenic Area -- Attractions of South Taiwan -- Taiwan limousine service

In contrast to the northern and eastern coastlines, which are characterized by steep cliffs and rugged mountains, the western coast of Taiwan is largely flat. The stretch of coast from Taipei in the north to Kaohsiung in the south is heavily industrialized, but there are a number of areas that serve as natural habitats for wildlife including migratory birds and other coastal dwellers. In order to protect these precious habitats and to create a recreational area for visitors at the same time, a new national scenic area was established in the end of 2003, which is administered by the ROC Tourism Bureau. The Southwest Coast National Scenic Area, which includes the coastal areas of Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan counties, is known for its sandbanks, marshes, river deltas, and wetlands, which are home to a large number of endemic bird species and serve as a resting place for many migratory birds during the winter. Besides its ecological value, this new scenic area also has a lot of other attractions, such as the traditional production of salt from seawater, the local fishing industry, old temples and other historic sites that make a trip worthwhile.

雲嘉南濱海國家風景區 -- 南台灣旅遊景點 -- 台灣包車

 

交通部觀光局轄屬的第12個國家風景區─「雲嘉南濱海國家風景區」管理處於92年12月24日掛牌成立。管理處之處址設於臺南市北門區原台鹽公司北門鹽場的辦公處所。
雲嘉南濱海國家風景區之觀光資源特色為：廣闊之沙洲、濕地、潟湖等綠地海岸景觀及其孕育的豐富生態資源，數千公頃之鹽田及養殖漁塭；為數眾多的廟宇及宗教文化及台江內海地區的開台歷史遺址，而最受矚目的則是黑面琵鷺棲地保護區每年引來數百隻黑面琵鷺。
重要景點有外傘頂洲、湖口溼地、東石漁港、北門鹽場、七股潟湖、七股鹽山、曾文溪口黑面琵鷺保護區、鹿耳門天后宮、四草大眾廟、砲台及溼地等。
